Are You Still Hungry?

It is good for workers to have an appetite; an empty stomach drives them on.
—Proverbs 16:26 NLT

Some might say it is a danger in life for one to be hungry, lacking, wanting, or in need. However, that solely depends on how we choose to look at it. It can also be said that it is more dangerous for one to have no hunger, no driving force for greatness, no ambition towards a reward, or no motivating factors in their life. Danger towards progress arises when a person becomes content with adjusting to the boundaries of a situation that is “not so bad.” Their hunger for a better tomorrow has dwindled. Are you still hungry?

Never let the hunger inside of you die. Keep on fighting for what you believe in. In addition to never being ashamed for being “hungry” (desperately desiring something as if in a primitive nature), one can also argue that life tends to always propel further for those who are hungry and driven; for those who remain with something they are chasing after. Never let anyone shame you for being hungry and also never allow anyone to ridicule you for having voids you are trying to meet. Your only other option is to pretend you are not hungry while settling for what little provisions are on your plate—Do not ever let that be an option!

Keep this Bible verse referenced today in mind: Proverbs 16:26, which says, “It is good for workers to have an appetite; an empty stomach drives them on.” As long as you are working on anything throughout this life, be careful to remain hungry with determination and zeal. Complacency will be a major enemy. I often say the words, “anything you can think of, you can have,” but thinking alone is not enough. When we remember to remain hungry for our desires, we also will be fueled with the drive needed to pursue and even accomplish them. Never let your hunger die. Always remain hungry!

Lots of Love, XO
